Waking up to that sweet smell of coffee and blueberry pancakes in the morning can be one of life’s kindly reminders to appreciate one of our five senses: smell. Needless to say, the moment we waltz into the kitchen all of our senses are in tune with one another: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch.
So how about you join us for breakfast as we discuss our design tip number 2:

Create a cheerful kitchen by
Adding a splash of color!
Can you hear the sound of eggs frying on the stove as your family and friends chatter away? What about the banging of the pots and pans, as you shift from kitchen to dining space? The kitchen for most families is the heart of the home; it is the one place where most families gather to socialize and entertain while creating quality bonding time. If there is one sense we want to enhance is that of sight, especially when gathering around family.
One way of creating a bright and cheerful kitchen is by including splashes of color that will set the mood for all the wonderful family gatherings to be had in the future. If you have light colored cabinets, try using a contrasting counter top! You can even bring in bright colored flowers such as a sunflower to bring life to your home. Use fruits and vegetables as a way of bringing color to an otherwise ordinary space—this will allow you to switch up color themes for the changes in seasons and holidays, so have fun!
