Wanting more space in their kitchen these clients decided it was time to do some updating. Craving a whole new look, they decided they needed some help to do the design throughout the downstairs areas in their home. Knowing they needed interior and exterior construction combined with a rich color palette they called us to help them put everything together. After meeting with them to determine their likes and needs we went to work designing their Tuscan country style.
Starting in the kitchen, we met with their contractor and together configured the plan for the kitchen along with its design details. Plans for the finishes and materials quickly came together to showcase this rich design style. Rustic cream cabinets combined with deep warm wood tones gave the kitchen a rich custom feel. Glass doors and lighting helped to highlight beautiful glassware and pieces the client loved. The granite selection was key in tying together the richness of the cabinets and the warm color palate used throughout the design for the home.
With an open floorplan, the kitchen nook leads directly into the family room area. Needing a large amount of seating for family gatherings and parties, it was important to our client that these areas were designed for their lifestyle. A large kitchen nook gathering table helped to create enough space for family dinners or as a place to put buffet style dishes for their parties. Leading into the family room there is a bay window seat for additional seating and the perfect spot to sit and look into the beautiful backyard. The large sectional was upholstered in a rich textured fabric to add durability and softness while pillows were adding in coordinating fabrics and trims to add style and custom details the client wanted. Elegant drapery treatments framed the windows from the kitchen to the family room creating a lovely yet comfortable softness for the beautiful outdoor view.
Next, we moved into the formal living room and entryway. Carrying the rich color palatte into this area, we added textures for interest and style. Soft silks were used in the drapery treatments for a sophisticated elegance and the rich wood tones were brought into the new furniture pieces. We added new lighting fixtures and refinished the staircase railing to update the home and give it the finish it deserved. Fresh paint was used throughout the house to bring in the new color palate and created a beautiful backdrop for the new design. The living room furnishings were upholstered in rich rusty orange’s and textures that made this room comfortable yet elegant. We added artwork and accessories to finish up all of the downstairs areas in the home.
This client loved their home so much they are going to continue with the upstairs areas as well. Working with their timeframe and budget the project is coming along at the clients pace and they are so happy with the results.
